This is a little bit of a remix of an email newsletter I sent out earlier in the week, and a social media update I made, however like tossing up a pizza dough to spin it to impossibly thin proportions to slap it back down, I’m trying to top it off with different ingredients for something tastier for a longer form blog post. (See, lol, this is the bullshit you get when you rely on my creativity and not prepackaged generative AI. Anyway, moving right along!)
So for this update, I wanted to fill you in on the events, workshops and rituals I’ve got planned for 2026. I started the newsletter thinking that I didn’t have any splashy big announcements to make. But that’s not entirely true now. You know how you do a little bit of magick and it starts to work? Yeah, that’s the position I find myself in and I’ve suddenly (ha!) got more to tell you.
Author note: The piece of writing switches between first person singular ‘I’ and plural perspectives. The reason for this is that one person (me, myself and I) is often the key driving force behind the events for The Pagan Fringe and it’s me as one person writing the blogs and social media here and it’s me sharing my thoughts and opinions. When I’m switching to ‘we’ it’s because sometimes I’m sharing the load when hosting some events – like one of the rituals I’ve got planned later in the year 🙂
It’s been a rough and tumble time in the world, and when I sat down to write the newsletter update, I found myself reflecting on the hibernation I’d done over Summer, hiding from the heat, surviving the intense social interactions of the silly season and school holidays, and thinking seriously about the seasons and Sabbats. And specifically, how much of it we get entirely wrong in the Southern Hemisphere when we simply flip dates without challenging our thinking. That deserves its own conversation, and it’s one I intend to have, but for now, it’s the backdrop to everything I’m planning this year.
Ultimately it comes back to what value I can offer the wider Sydney witchcraft community, or perhaps just our corner of the world and our little community. One thing I am clear on: whatever I offer, it is done with authenticity and care.
Here’s what that looks like in practice for 2026
Boundaries and Belonging – continuing the conversation
The Boundaries and Belonging series is an important ongoing discussion around what healthy groups look like, and what’s worth considering if you’re seeking to work in a group setting. It might even help you decide whether that’s your thing at all — and that’s a completely valid outcome too. There’s more to come in this series and I’m looking forward to continuing it.
Practical hands-on teaching workshops
There’s a lot out there in the form of lectures and people talking broadly about things they’ve had shallow experience in. That’s not what I’m interested in doing. I will only invest my time teaching things I have in-depth experience of over a significant period of time. These workshops will be hosted at the Cauldron of Wellbeing in Penrith, with dates to be announced soon. I’m also keen to gauge interest in replicating some of these online or streaming them live, depending on the topic. Please let me know if that appeals to you.
Seasonal Rituals – larger community focussed celebrationsWe’ll be offering at least one key seasonal ritual a year as a community rite and community celebration. My seasons of choice are usually Autumn or Winter, and this year I have something booked for 18th April in Western Sydney. Ticketing details coming soon. Watch this space!
Smaller ritual gatherings

This one is close to my heart. My personal focus this year is spending more time with others in ritual space in a more intimate setting. I’ll be doing that personally and hopefully I can bring that to this community too. I’m in negotiations for a space in Emu Heights, and a private home and yard has been generously offered in Wilberforce. These events will run with smaller numbers, so you’ll need to be on our mailing list or come along to a workshop and meet us in person to secure an invitation, particularly for anything hosted in a private residential space.
And that brings me to my question for you. I want to be more inclusive and accessible, so does that mean transitioning to online stuff and if so, how much do you want online? Streamed workshops, recorded content, Discord events? Let me know using this link as it will genuinely shape what I prioritise.
