Small changes and intentional witchcraft

We’re making a wee shift in how we get together for some of our events and we thought it best to explain it upfront.  This is in alignment with our code of conduct (that I attempt to hold myself to when I design and host events) as well as how I think I’d like to manage our time and space for everyone when we get together.

From time to time, The Pagan Fringe will be running small, limited-seating circles at our current local venue space designed for deeper conversation, reflection, and connection. Why? Mostly because our current venue is small, we’re relying on the generosity of our venue hosts, and we’d like to be kind and respectful of the space that they’re offering us by not overcrowding it. It also means it is physically more comfortable for us when we get together rather than being too squishy and getting in each other’s personal space. Some room to breathe is good 🙂

So, because the venue is cosy, bookings will be essential for some things (always where possible free or low cost). This process will help us honour our values of care, accessibility, and respect for mutual energy and space. Managing numbers also allows for a more sensory friendly space.

I want to reassure you, this isn’t about gatekeeping, being ‘exclusive’, or locking things down to anything like a ‘members only’ type of thing. If anything, this will encourage me to run more witchcraft events in Western Sydney, more frequently so I can cater to demand if it’s there.

Additionally, we’ll still run our big, open, casual social events like the riverside picnics and Sabbat meetups in larger spaces that are free, family-friendly, and more importantly with no booking or RSVP required.

Want to hear about small-circle events first?

  1. Subscribe to our email list via our website for early access.
  2. Keep an eye on our socials for when we share the links that require bookings.

Thanks for reading and we hope to see you at the next thing we’re doing (which we’ll tell you about VERY soon!)

PS: further to this, if you know of any accessible, free or lower cost venues that would be awesome for an ocuclt workshop/lecture, please get in touch and tell me all about it. I want to continue at our current venue, but I’d love to expand too! Can you help? Anywhere in Western Sydney can be considered – all ideas welcome!
