We’re witches, and we often work through our stuff with ritual and celebration. If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you’ll know that we’ve been hosting Death Cafes in Blacktown and as a continuation on that theme, we’ll be hosting another one soon on 6th April. It’s a space to talk about death, dying and grief in a pagan and witchy context. As for Samhain, this is a spoke on the Wheel of the Year which aligns with endings, and naturally death.
Modern witches celebrating a Wiccan or wiccan influenced Wheel of the Year may be marking this time of the year with rituals that honour their ancestors, and many neopagans believe that the veil between this world and the afterlife is at its thinnest point of the year at Samhain, making it easier to communicate with those who have departed. If you’d like to celebrate with other witches, pagans and occultists in Western Sydney, come along on Sat 26th April. See you then!
