CANCELLED: Midsummer Picnic 2025

Due to the extreme heat forecast for Western Sydney today (41°C+) including the possibility of evening storms, I’ve made the decision to cancel tonight’s Midsummer picnic at Tench Reserve in Penrith.

While sunset gatherings are usually beautiful, unfortunately the ground temperature and humidity can stay high well after sunset, and 41°C days carry risk into the evening. The ongoing heat presents risk for an outdoor, drop-in picnic event, particularly for children, animals, and anyone sensitive to heat.

Thank you for your understanding. We’ll look to reschedule a casual get-together in the new year when conditions are a little less brutal.

Join us for a social catch up to wrap up the year and celebrate Midsummer with your witchcraft community.

Meet 6:30pm, Friday 19th December Tench Reserve, Penrith (on the Nepean River opp Coffee Club near playground) and we’ll have a sunset picnic. Sun sets around 8pm and if we’re blessed with good weather, it’ll be beautiful.

What to bring:
– BYO picnic blanket/chair and something to eat/drink for yourself.
– A lantern for when it gets dark later on
– Mosquito repellent!

Call or text if you cannot find us.
Toilets and accessible parking on site along Tench Reserve.

You’ll get to meet witches, pagans, occultists and other magical folk. Come and connect over a snack and a drink and dive into some brilliant conversation.

There is no planned agenda or ritual for this event – it’s a drop-in style, casual event. All welcome including children. Dogs on leashes are ok.

Best parking is along Tench Reserve or behind the restaurants on Tench Reserve. If it is raining or storming, we will cancel this event by 12 Noon on the day.
