We had SUCH a great response from our first Book Circle in October, that we’ll do it again in November!
So what happens at Book Circle? We’ll get together and discuss a book, and next month, it’ll be Scott Cunningham’s Incense Oils and Brews. (pictured below). Our next book circle will be held on Thurs 7th Nov 6:30pm @ Cauldron of Wellbeing in the Parker Arcade in Penrith NSW.
Guidelines for future book circles:
- We will aim to be ADHD friendly which means:
- we’ll try and pick books that will be available in audio format as well. Unfortunately this first one isn’t available as an audio book, however it’s a well known ‘recipe’ style read and is easy to dip into if you’ve got access to a copy. There are scanned copies available online if you join sites like Scribd. Your local library might also have a copy. Or you can buy a copy in store.
- Flexible participation in person
- we will circulate the format of our book circle meetings ahead of time so you’ll know what to expect. We will also share discussion prompts ahead of time so you can think about what you might want to say.
- there is no requirement to read the book before the meeting. Or even read the entire thing at any point – just bring your willingness to discuss an aspect of the book, chapters, or the topic itself.
- there is no requirement to say anything in front of a large group – feel free to come along, and just listen and if you feel comfortable then chat in smaller groupings afterwards.
- if we have the demand for it, we’ll run an online session on Discord as well as an in-person one.
For this session, we’ll focus on Oils and Ointments pgs 101-132 inclusive in the second print editions. Have a read and think about how you use both in your practise.

If we have the demand for it, we’ll run an online session on Discord the day before, as well as an in-person one. See you there on 7th Nov!
